Legislation to Create Disability Resource Database Introduced

Last week, Representative Marc Molinaro (R-NY) introduced the Think DIFFERENTLY Database Act, legislation that would create a federal clearinghouse on disability resources. The purpose of the website is to connect individuals with disabilities and their families and caregivers with resources related to health care, mental health, and other community-based services within state Medicaid programs. Rep. Molinaro’s legislation builds off his ThinkDIFFERENTLY initiative in Dutchess County, NY, where he launched the program to bridge the gap between individuals, businesses, and community organizations to ensure inclusion, accessibility, and opportunities for people with disabilities.
