As part of the Safer Chemicals Healthy Families coalition, ANCOR has participated in the Mind the Store campaign, an effort to notify stores if chemicals they sell are known to cause developmental disabilities in children.

Recently, ANCOR signed onto a coalition letter to Lowe’s explaining that certain neurotoxic chemicals present in pain strippers and other such household products have demonstrated ties to developmental disabilities. The letter requested that Lowe’s promote safer products and end the sales of harmful products. Since then we have learned that this letter played a critical role in Lowe’s decision to phase out products containing those chemicals. Congratulations, advocates!
