Mark Your Calendars! ANCOR Advocacy Day in Washington DC on June 11 on Workforce

We invite ANCOR members to join us on June 11 in Washington, DC for an Advocacy Day on Capitol Hill! We want members of Congress to hear from constituents about the workforce crisis and how it is leaving U.S. disability supports with unmet demand for frontline staff. The solution we will focus on for the Advocacy Day is a proposal for a temporary work visa for Direct Support Professionals.

For the convenience of our members, we will provide template materials to reach out to Congressional offices, one-pagers and preparation assistance. Participants are responsible for their travel, board and meeting arrangements. We will kick off the event on June 11 with a briefing for participants in the morning before freeing up their day for meetings with members of Congress.
