We invite ANCOR members to join us in Washington, DC, on Thursday, March 26 to advocate for priority legislation such as Isaiah and Margie’s Law and a permanent renewal of the Money Follows the Person program. Our congressional allies have informed us that this will be a strategic time to discuss health and disability policies on Capitol Hill, as Congress will start preparing legislation in March to fund various Medicaid programs whose funding will be expiring on May 22. The “health extenders” legislation, as the funding renewal legislation is known, will be a good vehicle to carry smaller bills through the House and Senate.
We will be sharing information about our “fly-in” logistics via email and our online member forum – please keep an eye out for more information.
Readers interested in the benefits of ANCOR membership, such as fly-ins and other advocacy opportunities, are encouraged to contact Gabrielle Sedor, COO, by email.
