New CMS Data Shows Continued Decline in Medicaid and CHIP Enrollment

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released its latest Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) enrollment data, showing that 74.3 million people were enrolled in the programs nationally as of March 2026. That represents a decrease of approximately 580,000 people.
