New Criticism on the WaPo Article about Disability Beneficiaries

A new analysis from the Center for American Progress has found that the statistics cited by The Washington Post in its recent article, “Disabled, or just desperate?”, on Social Security’s disability programs are inaccurate. (See WICS article, “CCD Responds to Article on Americans on Disability“, April 10, 2017.) ANCOR joined dozens of other national organizations on a letter [attached] sent to the Senate Finance Committee and the House Ways and Means Committee pointing out the inaccuracies and misleading nature of the article, and expressing support for the Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) program.
