As an update on this prior article, ANCOR has learned that the deadline to apply for Capital Advance Waivers has been moved from February 10 to March 10, 2020 to “allow for further marketing of the program and additional time for applicants to prepare complex proposals.” As a recap, these waivers by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) seek to encourage owners / housing sponsors to “establish formal partnerships with health and human service agencies or other organizations with a demonstrated capacity to coordinate voluntary services and supports to enable individuals to live independently in the community.”
