NLIHC Launches Our Homes, Our Voices Week of Housing Action

From July 22 – 29, the National Low Income Housing Coalition (NLIHC) is organizing a week of advocacy around housing issues, called “Our Homes, Our Voices“. The week is designed to bring advocates, elected officials, and concerned citizens together in D.C. and around the nation to bring more attention to the affordable housing crisis in the local communities. Advocates are calling for a greater federal investment in affordable homes and community development, saying that all people deserve an affordable home, and no one should be forced to give up food and basic healthcare to keep a roof over their heads.

ANCOR supports the campaign, as affordable housing remains a challenge for millions of people with disabilities across the nation. ANCOR will promote the campaign throughout the week on social media, and encourages members to retweet, repost, or use NLIHC’s resources to spread the word and take action.
