Former leader of ASAN and prominent disability advocate Ari Ne’eman recently called attention to the DSP workforce crisis on Twitter, stating that “Wage compression is the slow moving disaster that’s destroying disability and aging services. Disability policy advocates desperately need to talk about this more. #CripTheVote”. Laying out the wage challenges affecting this sector in his Twitter thread, Ari Ne’eman concluded with a call to raise DSP wages.

ANCOR members have long been concerned with the DSP workforce crisis. This summer, ANCOR will be encouraging members of Congress to shadow DSPs as a “DSP for a Day” in order to see firsthand the importance of this work. ANCOR members interested in learning more can contact [email protected].
