Self-Advocate Testifies in Congress about Funding Down Syndrome Research

Frank Stephens, a self-advocate with Down Syndrome, was a key witness last week speaking at a hearing before the House Appropriations Committee about the importance of funding Down Syndrome research and its links to other health care breakthroughs.  Stephens was a key speaker at ANCOR’s Medicaid rally on June 6.  Congresswoman Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Congressman Pete Sessions (R-TX) also testified about their experiences being parents to children with Down Syndrome.
