Senate Advances Government Funding Bill, Averting Shutdown Risk

The Senate passed a government spending bill late Friday in a 54-46 vote funding the government through September and narrowly averting a shutdown just hours before the deadline. The measure, which had already cleared the House, was signed by President Trump.
