Speaker Pelosi Issues Deadline to White House on COVID-19 Deal as Senate Considers Limited Proposal

PELOSI: COVID RELIEF BILL HINGES ON TODAY, TOMORROW The House speaker indicated Sunday that the White House has less than two days to finalize a deal with Democrats to have any chance of muscling through a trillion-dollar-plus bill before the election.

The California Democrat said on ABC’s ‘This Week’ that she remained ‘hopeful’ after a lengthy call with Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin on Saturday night. The two plan to speak again Monday. But Pelosi added that the fate of the aid ‘depends on the administration.’
