For Work on Medicaid Advocacy, I/DD Self-Advocate Named in Business First Inaugural “40 Under 40” Class of 2019

ANCOR extends our warmest congratulations to Christine Brown of the Nisonger Center at Ohio State Medical Center for being featured in the inaugural Business First “40 Under 40” class of 2019! ANCOR has worked with Christine to introduce federal legislation to remove age limits for Medicaid’s buy-in program. The Medicaid buy-in program allows people with disabilities to receive coverage when their income and assets would otherwise prohibit them from doing so. Currently, the program caps the age of participants at 65, but Christine has advocated for people with disabilities who wish to keep working past that age to continue to be eligible for the program.
