Position Summary

Southwest Area Training Service is searching for its next agency administrator. As a private non-profit organization with a rich history of supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in McCook, Nebraska, we are committed to providing resources and support to help families and individuals thrive.

In addition, the ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of regulations, policies, and compliance in the I/DD social services sector, excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, the ability to make sound decisions, solve problems, and think critically, and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including community partners, funders, and board members.

Qualifications for the role include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business administration, public administration, social work, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred. The ideal candidate should have five or more years of experience serving people with I/DD and at least three years of experience in supervision/program administration, preferably in a non-profit or social service setting. They should also possess demonstrated leadership and management skills, effectively leading and supervising staff members and teams.

Roles & Responsibilities

This is a full-time, on-site role in McCook, NE. The agency administrator oversees daily operations, manages programs, and ensures compliance with applicable regulations and policies. They also lead and supervise staff members, develop and implement plans to achieve organizational goals and collaborate with community partners to enhance and expand services.
