WittKieffer is proud to partner with Pathfinder Village Inc. to conduct the search for their next Chief Executive Officer. With the upcoming retirement of Paul Landers who has led Pathfinder Village for over 15 years, the Board has embarked on a national search to identify a proven and passionate leader to serve as Pathfinder’s new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Headquartered in Edmeston, New York, Pathfinder is an internationally renowned residential community and services provider for children and adults with Down Syndrome and other intellectual/developmental disabilities. With a focus on community-based programs and outreach, Pathfinder Village provides an array of person-centered supports, including residential, educational, vocational, enrichment, health, therapeutic, and other services to several hundred children and adults annually.
Pathfinder Village is an intimate, accessible, livable community that provides exceptional opportunities for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Coupling this picturesque village with committed staff that integrate best practices supporting life choices and opportunities for people with disabilities make Pathfinder a remarkable organization.
This new CEO will advance the Village’s capacity to address the needs of clients who face intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) through the delivery of data-driven, integrated and comprehensive programs. The CEO will focus on strategic planning, operational effectiveness/efficiency, work force development, service integration, growth strategies and overall financial performance. The new leader will further refine and implement performance measurements, and management controls, effectively communicating the vision and impact internally and externally. |

Roles & Responsibilities | |
The CEO will serve as the external voice/face of Pathfinder Village and be the primary advocate for sustaining and increasing support from state and federal governmental agencies, foundations, donors, and other collaborative partners. The CEO will be actively engaged across all levels of the organization, as well as in the community and more broadly across the state, region, and national levels. This leader will create greater clarity around Pathfinder’s strategic priorities, communicate the success and vision for the future, and display the confidence and leadership qualities that will earn credibility. | |
