Position Summary

As the Nursing Director, you’ll provide operational and clinical leadership to PPCH Nursing Services to ensure quality and inclusive health care and care coordination for our individuals receiving services with intellectual or developmental disabilities (IDD). You will oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans in a community setting while working with other healthcare providers and agencies to fully integrate care.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need
• To be a Colorado Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in good standing
• To successfully complete the provided required training
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office or other software
• Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills (even when non-traditional communication is used)
• The ability to instruct and collaborate with others and to constructively receive and provide feedback
• The ability to respectfully address significant issues of health and safety while supporting an individual’s choices
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is required

IF an LPN:
• 1+ years of experience working with the IDD (Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled) populations is required
• Working knowledge of the Colorado Development Disabilities systems, regulations and rules is required

IF an RN:
• 1+ years of experience working with the IDD (Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled) populations is preferred
• Knowledge of the Colorado Development Disabilities systems, regulations and rules is preferred

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Work is sometimes performed in private homes or in the community and occasionally in a typical office setting using a laptop and/or mobile devices. There may be frequent lifting, moving, and/or carrying of approximately 10 – 15 pounds, with possible bending, stooping, squatting, and walking.

You’ll Get
Hourly rate range of $40.00 – 45.00 for LPNs
Hourly rate range of $43.00 – 48.00 for RNs

Roles & Responsibilities

Some of your responsibilities would be:
• Overseeing the health-related services and care plans for PPCH customers
• Supervising medical care and meeting administrative requirements for customers on assigned caseloads
• Contributing to a culture where individuals receiving services are healthy, safe and valued by others
• Striving for full compliance with PPCH, State, Federal, and other applicable guidelines and regulations
• Supervision and guidance to our nursing staff – currently 3 RNs and 3 LPNs
• Recommending updated protocols, staff and provider training, or other changes when areas for improvement are found
• Participating in the on-call rotation approximately one rotation per quarter
