Position Summary
Responsible for the overall fiscal and operational performance of the HCBS and ICF homes in the assigned area. Oversees the development and implements safety and quality enhancement strategies. Drives quality initiatives, to maintain compliance with national and state regulatory standards with proactive strategies to meet or exceed compliance and accreditation.
Provide leadership; implement best employee practices, including retention, staff development and staff utilization. Lead continuous improvement strategies, staff utilization and performance.
Qualifications
- At least seven years of human services industry experience, specific to IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) populations and four years of progressively responsible management experience.
- BA/BS degree in a human service-related field or other equivalent education and experience.
- Demonstrated experience in fiscal management in operations, including budget management skills, and organizational abilities including planning, delegating, program development and task facilitation.
- Proficiency in using remote monitoring equipment and assistive technology.
2 of 3. - Prefer prior experience and knowledge working with ID, DD, IDD, ICF, HCBS, CIIBS, MR or Medicaid Waivers.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement and oversee sound financial practices within the team.
- By coaching, mentoring, and providing professional development opportunities to the employees within the assigned team.
- Oversee the progressive disciplinary system within assigned team.
- Conduct investigations and fact finding within assigned team.
- Promote the health, safety, and welfare of all employees and persons supported.
- Monitor orientation and ongoing training of employees within assigned team.
- Serve as an advisory member of interdisciplinary teams within assigned team, along with other teams within One Vision.
- Ensure assigned team meets or exceeds professional licensure, national accreditation, Iowa Administrative Code rules, and certification requirements.
- Work is predominantly in an office environment.
- Exerting up to 15 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The role requires close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; and extensive reading. May occasionally be required to bend, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms, walk, stand, and balance self to support persons served in completion of their activities of daily living.
