May Institute is seeking an operational business leader to join our aMAYzing community. The Senior Vice President of Adult Services supervises the operations, clinical and financial performance of programs throughout Southeastern and Western Massachusetts. Division services include adult 24 hour and less than 24 hour residential care and day habilitation, primarily funded the Massachusetts Dept. of Developmental Services and Mass Health.
The successful candidate for this role will have demonstrated experience managing adult long term support services across multiple locations, an understanding of relevant regulations, and proven success in financial management and standardization of business processes and systems.
The position requires some travel to program locations to ensure standards of care are maintained, consistency across sites, and align common goals and purpose.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Senior Vice President has a team of direct reports and is responsible for a divisional headcount of 300 employees.
This position can be based out of any of our MA offices in Randolph, West Springfield, Raynham, or Mashpee
-Minimum 10 years of experience managing similar operations and overseeing business and clinical operations in a large multi-site network of services.
-Proven ability to create and drive business operational initiatives.
-Demonstrated leadership ability.
-Experience in regulatory compliance and ongoing quality improvement processes.
-Master’s degree in human services, business, or related field required. -Other combinations of degrees will be considered based on proven success in managing within a similar organization.
-Licensed psychologist and/or BCBA certification preferred.
Roles & Responsibilities
Overview of Responsibilities:
-Works with the Chief Clinical Officer and other leaders to ensure the delivery of high quality, cohesive, and evidenced based services within and across programs, integrating services to promote continuity of care whenever possible.
-Serves as a member of the Executive Steering Committee and actively participates in committee meetings, working in collaboration with all other members of senior management.
-Develops and manages annual and strategic plans including accurate budgets, monitoring and management of financial performance, and ensures that budgetary expectations are met. The Sr. VP works in consultation with other May Corporate Senior Staff as appropriate and necessary to meet this goal.
-Continuously evaluates and ensures systems are in place to maintain referrals, admissions, census and billable services in accordance with budget projections. Ensures any variances are reported and addressed in a timely manner.
-Develops and supports appropriate, actionable metrics to track programmatic, clinical quality, and financial goals to enhance outcomes.
-Leads the development and/or review of standardized policies and procedures to guide operational and clinical tasks.
-Determines an appropriate management structure to support employees and meet all regulatory requirements including those related to licensure, training, and certifications.
-Demonstrates effective clinical and legal risk management working in collaboration with other Corporate senior clinical and legal staff.
-Works in close collaboration with the Quality Improvement Department to ensure that all regulatory and accreditation standards are met and maintained.
-Develops and implements strategies to grow and meet emerging needs for services and new business opportunities while maintaining current business.
