Job Summary

Ascendigo’s Summer Camp Nurse Assistant will aid the Camp RN to oversee and monitor camper and staff health, as well as camper medications during Ascendigo’s Camp. This individual may be responsible for medication intake from parents, appropriately sorting and packaging medications, and giving meds to campers at all times of the day and evening. The Nurse Assistant may be asked to help with personal hygiene care such as bathing, toileting, and will be working in close proximity to participants who have challenging behaviors such as aggression towards others.

Tasks

· Assist Ascendigo’s Camp Nurse in all aspects of camp healthcare.

· Collect, package, and administer camper medications

· Ensure that medications are being administered at appropriate times, and appropriately recorded.

· Communicate with parents about camper health and issues that may arise

· Assist Ascendigo Administration with other tasks as needed, including but not limited to: direct camper care, logistical assistance, or activity facilitation

· This employee may be asked to work evenings or weekends on occasion

In addition,

Must be age 21 or over and have legal working status.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and excellent driving record.
Must have a clean background check with no felonies or flags
Must provide a current CPR/First Aid certification.
Applicants are required to have and use their own phone for work duties.
Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, social media)
Must be able to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 pounds)
Preferred Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
Must take CO State certified medication administration course
