Ascendigo is a nonprofit organization that enhances the lives of children and adults living with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through therapeutic recreation, employment, community integration, education and an array of behavioral health services. We are headquartered in Carbondale, CO. Currently, Ascendigo employs more than 50 full- and part-time year-round staff members and approximately 30 additional employees during our seasonal summer camp programming.

Job Summary
Ascendigo’s Summer Camp Nurse Assistant will aid the Camp RN to oversee and monitor camper and staff health, as well as camper medications during Ascendigo’s Camp. This individual may be responsible for medication intake from parents, appropriately sorting and packaging medications, and giving meds to campers at all times of the day and evening. The Nurse Assistant may be asked to help with personal hygiene care such as bathing, toileting, and will be working in close proximity to participants who have challenging behaviors such as aggression towards others.
| Tasks
· Assist Ascendigo’s Camp Nurse in all aspects of camp healthcare. · Collect, package, and administer camper medications · Ensure that medications are being administered at appropriate times, and appropriately recorded. · Communicate with parents about camper health and issues that may arise · Assist Ascendigo Administration with other tasks as needed, including but not limited to: direct camper care, logistical assistance, or activity facilitation · This employee may be asked to work evenings or weekends on occasion In addition, Must be age 21 or over and have legal working status.
