Position Summary

Morgan Memorial Goodwill Industries (Goodwill) seeks a Vice President of Mission Services committed to advancing Goodwill’s mission, which is to help individuals with barriers to self-sufficiency achieve independence and dignity through work. Not charity, but a chance.

Goodwill serves most of Massachusetts, providing job training and career services to thousands of individuals, working with employers to help them meet their staffing needs, and operating social enterprises that provide revenue for the organization and work opportunities for program participants. Reporting directly to the President and Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Mission Services will lead and expand Goodwill’s broad range of workforce development programs serving those most in need of assistance in entering and advancing in the workforce. The Vice President will manage a staff of 65 and a budget of $9.8 million.

Compensation & Location

Salary range: $172,000 – $200,000 base, depending on background and experience, with the opportunity for a 10 percent annual bonus.

Location: Residing within daily commutable distance of Boston is highly desirable.

Roles & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be a proactive, growth-minded leader motivated to join a highly collaborative, hands-on team. Partnering with the CEO, the Vice President will lead the strategic positioning of Goodwill’s programs and plans for the future. The Vice President will bring expertise in one or more aspects of the Mission Services portfolio and demonstrated expertise in fostering an environment where best practices and data are used to operate person-centric programs and drive sound strategic, programmatic, and financial decisions. The Vice President will also be oriented to working collaboratively, both internally and in the community, and will be an important external representative for Goodwill with key stakeholders.
