AHRC Nassau seeks an experienced highly qualified human resources leader to join our senior leadership team as the Vice President of Talent Acquisition, Development, & Engagement. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, this senior level role leads a large team of human resources professionals providing talent acquisition, professional development, and employee engagement for a family of organizations with over 3,000 employees providing a wide range of supports and services to over 5,000 people daily throughout Long Island, NY. Primary Responsibilities:
• Ensure successful Talent Acquisition for a variety of job titles across multiple business lines and companies to maintain necessary staffing with qualified employees for the organization to provide high quality services. Develop and implement innovative and effective strategies to attract and hire from a diverse pool of candidates for positions at every level of the organization.
• Direct all aspects of Professional Development, ensuring that employees benefit from dynamic and effective curricula, instruction, and platforms to support successful performance, professional growth, and opportunities for advancement, supporting employees from a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Ensure ongoing systems to evaluate the effectiveness of learning and development programs and resources and revise as needed to improve outcomes.
• Continually monitor and evaluate employee retention across all job titles. Develop, implement, evaluate, and refine targeted strategies to reduce employee turnover and improve engagement and morale across departments, regions, and companies utilizing objective metrics to assess outcomes.
• Direct all aspects of Employee Engagement, developing and implementing comprehensive and effective employee appreciation, recognition, and benefits strategies to engage a diverse team at all levels. Establish and continually utilize a robust multi-media communication platform to engage employees across Long Island with meaningful content. Develop and facilitate effective employee wellness programs.
• Support and collaborate with the organization’s Diversity Officer to implement and promote effective Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practices, policies, and training. Support and facilitate a culture of inclusion and belonging for all employees though a variety of initiatives and engagement strategies.
• Support and collaborate with the organization’s Director of Employee Services to promote efficient and effective employee and labor relations and access to employee benefits and to establish and maintain effective compensation strategies to attract and retain talent.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the organizations three-year strategic plans, and facilitate and lead progress on strategic goals

Qualified applicants will possess:
• Bachelor’s degree and a credential in Human Resources (SHRM-SCP/CP, PHR, etc.). Master’s degree or higher preferred.
• At least 10 years’ progressive human resources leadership experience including at least five years’ experience in recruiting and engagement.
• Demonstrated expertise and a record of success in Talent Acquisition, Engagement, and Professional Development; Experience in additional Human Resources areas preferred.
• Demonstrated commitment to and experience in designing, supporting, and leading organization-wide initiatives.
• Demonstrated record of meeting deadlines and delivering effective measurable outcomes.
• Experience with talent metrics and data analytics preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and leadership skills.
• Strong knowledge of relevant federal/state employment laws and recent trends.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite applications.
