Louisiana was one of the first states to implement Electronic Visit Verification (EVV). After two failed attempts prior to 2016 — using Sandata and First Data — the state introduced a third system, LaSRS, which has gone live. Like many states, Louisiana adopted the “data aggregator plus provider choice” model for EVV.
People Centered Support Services serves individuals in northeastern Louisiana through a wide range of Home and Community-Based Services programs. Greg Scott is their hands-on Executive Director who was tasked with understanding all of the details of EVV.
MITC’s Theron Kithcart sat down with the Greg to discuss EVV, and how his agency handled the need for a compliant system, and the importance of finding a compliant and reliable EVV solution.
