Genevieve Fitzgibbon Named President & CEO of Keystone Human Services International

Genevieve FitzgibbonHARRISBURG, PA — Genevieve Fitzgibbon, who previously served as Deputy Director of Keystone Human Services International (KHSI), was appointed President & CEO of KHSI by its Board of Directors earlier this month. In this role, Genevieve continues to serve as a member of the senior executive team of ANCOR member Keystone Human Services.

Among KHSI’s many accomplishments under Genevieve’s leadership, it has been a leading in partner for Ukrainians with disabilities since Russia waged war against Ukraine in early 2022. Genevieve has been essential in mobilizing donors and volunteers to bring financial resources and supplies to Ukrainians with disabilities through Keystone’s operation in Moldova, just miles away from that country’s border with Ukraine. Earlier in her tenure at KHSI, Genevieve led the founding of Keystone Institute India, a national educational institute on disability, community and innovation.

A division of Keystone Human Services, KHSI delivers services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Moldova and India, and engages in advocacy and strategic consulting in both of those nations and beyond. Diamond Partner Relias Receives Brandon Hall Group Excellence in Technology Award

MORRISVILLE, NC – ANCOR Diamond Partner Relias, a North Carolina-based education and workforce development partner to more than 11,000 health care organizations worldwide, was recently named a recipient of a 2022 Excellence in Technology Award by the Brandon Hall Group.

Relias was selected for this prestigious honor for its video-based online course, “A Day in the Life: An I/DD Perspective.” The course provides a realistic glimpse into the work of a direct support professional (DSP) to give viewers a sense of what it’s like to support people with I/DD. Filmed with a GoPro, the videos comprising the course simulate a day in the life in I/DD service delivery to give existing and potential DSPs a sense of how they might improve their approach to delivering person-centered services.

Delta Community Supports CEO David Wyher, 73, Passes Away After Short Battle Against Brain Cancer

David WyherBLUE BELL, PA — David Wyher, Founder and CEO of Pennsylvania-based Delta Community Supports, passed away on November 30, 2022, after a short battle with brain cancer. He was 73.

A long-time member of ANCOR, David made community inclusion for people with I/DD the cornerstone of his career. He founded ANCOR member Delta Community Supports in 1977 with one mission: to enrich the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and their families through outstanding community-based supports. He was actively involved with both his state and national associations, serving on ANCOR’s Global Council and as the longest-serving member of the Board of Directors for PAR, one of Pennsylvania’s provider associations.

David was laid to rest in a memorial service in Dresher, PA, on December 17, 2022. You can read David’s obituary to learn more about David and the celebration of his life held earlier this month.
