CHANTILLY, VA. – Last month, Northern Virginia-based Community Residences, Inc. (CRi) announced the appointment of Justin Zakia as the organization’s new President & CEO. Zakia, an experienced health care executive with a proven track record in leadership, business development and strategic planning, officially took the helm at CRi on May 15.

Zakia’s appointment follows the retirement of long-time ANCOR leader Arthur Ginsberg, who retired last month after seven years with CRi and a lengthy career in I/DD and behavioral health services. Among his many contributions to ANCOR during his tenure as a member, Ginsberg served on the association’s Board of Directors, as well as on its Leadership Development.

In 2014, following the announcement by then-CEO Renee Pietrangelo of her intention to retire, Ginsberg chaired the search committee that recommended the appointment of ANCOR’s current CEO, Barbara Merrill. He was also an active member and valued leader in his state provider association, the Virginia Network of Private Providers.

You can learn more about Ginsberg by reading CRi’s announcement of his retirement, and you can get to know CRi’s new President & CEO by reading the organization’s recent press release on Zakia’s appointment.
