Obituary: ANCOR Remembers Cecil Fox

Cecil Fox, who served in numerous capacities at Chimes International in Baltimore, MD, passed way on December 10 at the age of 91. Cecil had been employed at Chimes for approximately 41 years, and before her retirement in January 2017, she served as Special Assistant to multiple chief executive officers, as well as in the roles of Senior Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer. Among her many accomplishments, Cecil was inducted to the ANCOR Foundation’s Legacy Leaders Circle in 2013.

Back in 1971, Cecil was Executive Assistant to Terry Perl, who was a member of the ANCOR Board of Directors. Cecil set up the financial system for ANCOR in its earliest days, and although only agency CEOs could serve on the Board of Directors at the time, she essentially functioned as a Board member and as Chair of the Finance Committee. She was of invaluable assistance to ANCOR and such an essential and exceptional staff member for so many years at Chimes. We celebrate the life and impact of Cecil.
