ANCOR Sends Letter to CMS on HCBS, Workforce Issues

On April 27, ANCOR sent a letter to HHS Secretary Tom Price and CMS Administrator Seema Verma making key policy recommendations on how to improve the provision of HCBS within Medicaid and address the workforce crisis. The letter is attached below. Additional recommendations made were to support the creation of a new standard occupational classification for Direct Support Professionals by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, support the use of technology for the provision of services, delay the implementation of the HCBS final rule, and encourage state flexibility regarding alternative payment models for Medicaid HCBS services.
