G. N. Janes

G. N. Janes has served as Chief Executive Officer of Valley Community Services since 2015 and is the CEO and Founder of Ardent Services Group, a bespoke organization dedicated to empowering and elevating human services organizations through innovative support and strategic collaboration. Previously, G. N. held roles including Regional Operations Director, Compliance Officer and Direct Support Professional.

G. N. began academic studies at American University in Washington, DC, and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Regent’s College while on active duty in the United States Navy. G. N. also graduated cum laude from the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, completing the Farsi program.

Since assuming the CEO role, G. N. has emphasized technology, innovation and employee engagement—expanding Valley Community Services’ footprint by 120%, digitizing significant portions of programming, and prioritizing the retention of frontline supervisors. G. N. serves as co-chair of ANCOR’s Government Relations Committee, is a member of ANCOR’s Finance Committee and the ANCOR Global Council, and serves as Vice Chair of the Pennsylvania Advocacy and Resources for People with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism (PAR) Board of Directors. In 2022, G. N. received ANCOR’s Suellen Galbraith Award for Excellence in Public Policy.

Outside of his professional commitments, G. N. enjoys time with two daughters: Sadie, an attorney in Aurora, Colorado, and Mia, who is pursuing a Master’s degree at Ohio University.
