About Yadira
Yadira Holmes is the Vice President of Government Relations for Sevita, overseeing federal and state government affairs across the organization’s Community Services division. In this role, she partners with program and operations teams to protect business interests and advocates for the individuals Sevita serves, engaging with stakeholders at local and national levels.
With extensive experience in legislative advocacy, public affairs, and community engagement, Yadira has held key roles in state and federal government, as well as the nonprofit sector. She has provided strategic direction to leadership teams, served as a media spokesperson, and led community initiatives. Prior to joining Sevita, she was the Director of Government Affairs for Consumer Direct Care Network.
Yadira is a proud member of the ANCOR Board of Directors, currently serving as the Grassroots Co-Chair. She previously served as a Government Relations Committee Co-Chair, actively participates on the PAC Committee, and engages in various ANCOR initiatives. She is also the recipient of the Bonnie-Jean Brooks Rising Star in Advocacy Award and the Suellen Galbraith Award for Excellence in Public Policy, recognizing her leadership and commitment to advancing the role of providers supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).
A passionate advocate for health care access, Yadira’s dedication is reflected in her role as Vice Chair for Lakeland Volunteers in Medicine, which provides free health care to uninsured working adults. Locally, she serves on the Advisory Board for the Achievement Academy of Lakeland and previously served as President of Swan City Soccer Club, a nonprofit youth organization serving more than 2,000 children annually,. She is a graduate of Leadership Lakeland Class XXXI.
Yadira proudly holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science and history from Florida State University and a Master’s degree in political management from George Washington University.
Outside of work and volunteering, Yadira finds joy in music, traveling, cooking, and getting lost in a good book or true crime podcast. She’s also her happiest on the sidelines, juggling roles as team manager, snack coordinator, and enthusiastic cheerleader for her three soccer-playing teens.
