In the I/DD field, compliance isn’t just paperwork—it’s people’s lives. From person-centered planning to the HCBS Settings Rule, leaders must uphold regulatory integrity while preserving dignity, choice, and inclusion.
This three-part seminar supports C-Suite and D-Suite I/DD leaders in strengthening the skills needed to navigate sudden policy shifts, staffing crises, and heightened scrutiny—without losing sight of what matters most: the people we serve.

What to Expect
Session 1: Decision-Making Under Pressure in Person-Centered Systems
Whether responding to a critical incident, budget cut, or unexpected licensure visit, leaders in I/DD services are asked to make swift, high-impact decisions. This session explores how to lead through ambiguity with ethics, urgency, and care. Learn tools to assess risk, uphold rights, and ensure safety-even when decisions have no perfect answer.
Session 2: Communicating Compliance in a Human-Centered Field
Explaining new policies or corrective actions to DSPs, families, and boards is different when services are deeply personal. This session teaches leaders how to communicate changes in a way that builds trust, reduces resistance, and centers the humanity of people receiving supports.
Session 3: Coaching Teams Through Compliance Change Without Losing Mission
When regulations shift-whether through HCBS changes, audits, or federal policy-staff often feel overwhelmed or defensive. This session teaches leaders how to guide teams through change with consistency, empathy, and shared purpose. Learn how to embed compliance into coaching conversations and build cultures that support both accountability and learning.
Who Should Attend?
This series is built for executive directors, COOs, HR and clinical leaders, and program directors in I/DD services who are responsible for both regulatory compliance and mission execution. It’s especially relevant for those managing licensed services, Medicaid-funded supports, and community-based programs.
