National COVID-19 Preparedness Briefing for Community Providers

Like many of our members, ANCOR is concerned about COVID-19 (i.e., the coronavirus) and its potential impact on our friends, family members, colleagues and the people we support.

As part of ANCOR’s commitment to keeping you safe and informed, we are consulting with a range of partners and national leaders, including the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and the American Academy of Developmental Medicine & Dentistry (AADMD). These leading experts and others assure us that there is no reason for panic, but remind us that just like with the spread of any infectious disease, preparation is your first line of defense.

For that reason, we have invited national experts to address ANCOR members during a National COVID-19 Preparedness Briefing for Community Providers on Wednesday, March 4 at 4 pm EST/1 pm PST. During this briefing, ANCOR leaders and national experts will discuss:

• The latest guidance on COVID-19 from the CDC.
• Steps you should take to protect yourself and your loved ones from the virus.
• Things to consider as you assess the potential impact of COVID-19 on people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
• What ANCOR and some of its members are doing in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
• Answers to YOUR questions.
