Last week, the U.S. AbilityOne Commission, which is the federal agency that provides employment opportunities to more than 45,000 people who are blind or have significant disabilities, released its draft Strategic Plan for Fiscal Years 2022- 2026. The strategic plan focuses on three main goals: supporting competitive integrated employment for people who are blind or have other significant disabilities, ensuring effective governance across the AbilityOne Program, and partnering with federal agencies and stakeholders to increase and improve employment opportunities for people who are blind or significantly disabled.
