The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Community Living (ACL) has updated its Monkeypox Outbreak Resource Page to provide the most updated information and resources about the monkeypox virus. The new update includes information on how the virus affects older adults and people with disabilities, noting that “[p]eople in congregate settings like nursing homes, group homes, and assisted living facilities may be at increased risk of contracting and spreading monkeypox due to the close, prolonged contact residents have with each other and staff.”

The resource center includes information on how to prevent and treat monkeypox and when to get vaccinated. Additional resources on the Monkeypox outbreak can be found on the HHS and CDC websites.
