Center for Health Care Strategies Releases Survey of State Efforts to Strengthen Direct Care Workforce

The Center for Health Care Strategies published a survey of state strategies aimed at strengthening the direct care workforce. The report, “Strengthening the Direct Care Workforce: Scan of State Strategies” includes examples from 11 states: Colorado, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, Tennessee, Washington State, and Wisconsin. The survey highlights each state’s strategies to strengthen its direct care workforce through state legislative action, including proposals for investments of American Rescue Plan Act funds, and state direct care workforce training models.
