First NCI State of the Workforce for Aging and Disabilities Report Released

ADvancing States, HSRI, and participating states have released the inaugural NCI State of the Workforce for Aging and Disabilities Report for 2022. This comprehensive report, based on data from the calendar year 2022, provides crucial insights into the workforce supporting aging and disability services. The full report is available here.

The report comes at a pivotal time, as states have invested significantly in workforce interventions and initiatives. It offers valuable data to assess whether these financial investments have translated into improved wages for workers and how these investments impact workforce outcomes like turnover and tenure. Additionally, the report provides essential information to help state systems understand the demographics and support needs of the direct service workforce.

Two states, Colorado and Missouri, participated in the 2022 NCI-AD State of the Workforce Survey, which gathered input from 378 provider agencies.
