In a dedicated effort to support states through the Medicaid and CHIP renewal process, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has taken a proactive approach by releasing several new toolkits to support beneficiaries and community partners. These toolkits are designed to aid states and partners in effectively disseminating information and ensuring that eligible individuals and families can access essential health care coverage.

  1. Medicaid and CHIP Renewals Social Media Toolkit: This comprehensive toolkit equips states with recommended language and strategies for effectively communicating renewal information across various social media channels.
  2. Toolkit for Education-Focused Organizations: With the back-to-school season in full swing, HHS’ Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has released a dedicated toolkit for partners working in schools, early childhood education, and care settings. This toolkit aims to facilitate communication of vital Medicaid and CHIP renewal information to families, caregivers, and education-focused organizations.
  3. Faith-Based Toolkit: Recognizing the influential role that faith-based organizations play in their communities, HHS has introduced a Faith-Based Toolkit. This toolkit enables faith-based organizations to share important Medicaid and CHIP information with congregations, communities, and those they serve.
