HHS Updates on the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Transition

This past Monday, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Intergovernmental and External Affairs held a briefing on the public health emergency (PHE) declaration and HHS Secretary Becerra’s recent letter to governors announcing the final planned 90 day extension of the PHE. The briefing reviewed the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ recently updated “COVID-19 Public Health Emergency Transition Roadmap” and provider-specific policy and fact sheets.
