House Subcommittee on Health Reviews HHS Budget

The House Committee on Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health recently convened to discuss President Biden’s fiscal year 2025 budget proposal for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Secretary Becerra faced inquiries from both sides of the aisle regarding the budget within HHS’s domain.

During the hearing, bipartisan concerns emerged regarding the implementation of the  , with members urging HHS to play a role in addressing any challenges that arise.

There was also notable opposition from Republicans to the Inflation Reduction Act and the overall funding amount proposed in the HHS budget request.
