New Campaign Empowers Voters with Disabilities: The #RightToHelp Campaign

As the 2024 election approaches, many voters with disabilities face barriers to accessing the help they need at the ballot box. The National Coalition on Accessible Voting has launched the #RightToHelp campaign, aimed at addressing this critical issue. The campaign reminds voters with disabilities that federal and state laws protect their right to receive assistance in voting, ensuring they can vote with confidence and without fear.

The Right to Help campaign focuses on informing people with disabilities about their rights, including how to find help from Protection and Advocacy organizations and other resources. It also highlights the importance of checking state laws, which may have specific rules on how assistance can be provided during voting. Voters are encouraged to make a plan and prepare ahead to ensure they have the support they need to participate fully in the democratic process.
