OSHA Holds Public Hearings on Healthcare Worker ETS

This week, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) began its public hearings on the emergency temporary standard (ETS) to protect healthcare workers from occupational exposure to COVID-19 in settings where people with COVID-19 are reasonably expected to be present. The hearings are a result of the announcement on March 22 that OSHA was initiating a limited re-opening of the record to gather certain additional information from healthcare industry stakeholders. The agency is now preparing to promulgate a final standard.

ANCOR testified as part of the public hearings on Monday, May 2. ANCOR’s testimony can be viewed via the recording of the hearings.
