The Paraprofessional Healthcare Institute (PHI) and the National Alliance for Caregiving recently hosted a webinar to introduce their new issue brief, “Together in Care: Empowering Direct Care Workers and Family Caregivers to Meet Growing Demand for Care.” This event was part of the broader Together in Care initiative, which aims to address the escalating need for care and support for older adults and people with disabilities by enhancing the roles of direct care workers and family caregivers.

During the webinar, the organizations presented their recommendations, focusing on strategies to empower and better support these essential caregivers. The discussion highlighted the increasing demands on both direct care workers and family caregivers and emphasized the need for systemic changes to meet these challenges effectively.

The issue brief and webinar are part of ongoing efforts by PHI and the National Alliance for Caregiving to ensure that the nation’s growing care needs are met with adequate resources, training, and support for those providing care.
