An issue brief from the U.S. Administration on Community Living regarding promising strategies to address the direct support workforce recruiting and retention crisis
The purpose of this paper is to explore some strategies that providers can employ to increase recruitment and retention of DSPs. To compile this information, HSRI staff conducted a literature review, identified available data on staffing issues, and conducted key informant interviews with national and state provider organizations as well as with individual providers known for innovative approaches to supporting people with I/DD and their staff.
