Online learning has traditionally ignored neurodiverse learners. This is a missed opportunity because online education can create more access for learners by allowing students to participate in multi-modal ways, repeat curriculum as often as necessary, and overcome barriers to accessing limited resources.
Recognizing this missed opportunity, STRIVE WorldWide has developed an online learning program that is geared toward people with I/DD but designed with key principles for neurodiverse learners in mind. In this webinar, STRIVE WorldWide will join its first agency partner, California-based Adjoin, to examine the landscape of online programming for learners with I/DD, explore online course creation to teach independent living skills to self-advocates, demonstrate how online courses can support increased independence, and illustrate how agencies can partner to help our community.
A recording will be made available for registrants.
