In this webinar, two providers from Portland, OR will share their hands-on experience with creating accessible and affordable housing opportunities. One provider chose to build housing themselves and the other worked with affordable housing developers.
Regardless of approach, the presenters will share why inclusive, accessible, affordable housing benefits people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and the community, and how universal design and technology-forward solutions can make a big impact. Finally, these two providers will showcase how architects, builders, developers, community members, and funders must all come together to make accessible, affordable housing happen.
Participants will leave with specific examples and guidance for how they can move affordable housing for people with I/DD forward in their own communities.
