Sometimes, even the best-planned-out services can become centered around something other than the people leveraging them. Join this session to learn how we shift service delivery from program-centered to person-centered, and move from integration to full inclusion.

Community support services are intended to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to participate in activities of interest within their own communities. When done well, this means people with I/DD are participating in activities that allow for exploration and discovery. Furthermore, they are accessing opportunities to learn new skills and gain independence, developing social networks, and engaging in the community in a valued way that encourages employment and supports the employment process.

However, sometimes even the best-planned-out services can become centered around something other than the people leveraging them. So, how do we shift service delivery from program-centered to person-centered, and move from integration to full inclusion?

Join this webinar to hear from providers and individuals about the initial challenges they faced in trying to do just that. Ultimately, this session will explore the successful outcomes of meaningful day support, and participants will leave with best practice strategies and resources.
