Celebrating Direct Support Professional Recognition Week 2024

This week marks Direct Support Professional (DSP) Recognition Week, a special opportunity to honor the hardworking, compassionate DSPs who provide essential care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. From September 8-14, 2024, we’re taking time to acknowledge the contributions of these incredible professionals who play a vital role in ensuring that individuals can live independently and participate in their communities. 

Ways to Participate: 

• Share Your Appreciation: Use the hashtag #DSPRW2024 to highlight the important work of DSPs on social media. ANCOR will be amplifying posts throughout the week to spread gratitude far and wide. 

• Leverage the Social Media Toolkit: ANCOR has created a Social Media Toolkit with sample messages, logos, and resources to make it easy to celebrate DSPs. 

• Join Webinars: The National Alliance for Direct Support Professionals (NADSP) is hosting free webinars this week to educate and celebrate DSPs. 
• Nominate for 2025 DSP of the Year: Stay tuned for the opening of the nominations for the 2025 DSP of the Year awards!
