Last week, Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) announced that she is leading the bipartisan, bicameral Congressional Task Force on Down Syndrome with Representative Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) and Senators Jerry Moran (R-KS) and Bob Casey (D-PA). The goal of the task force is to “serve as an informal group of members dedicated to educating their colleagues and their staff about Down syndrome, while working towards the common goal of promoting legislative activities and public policies that will enhance the quality of life for those with Down syndrome.”

ANCOR is committed to working with this caucus, and others like it, to raise awareness about issues impacting people with disabilities and the need to strengthen the services they need.
