Department of Labor Extends Comment Period for Independent Contractor Proposed Rule

The U.S. Department of Labor announced a comment extension of its proposed rule moving the analysis of employee or independent contractor classification to a totality of the circumstances review. The notice originally gave a 45-day comment period through November 28. The comment period has now been extended to a full 60 days, through December 13.
