HHS Forms Advisory Committee to Address Long COVID Challenges

Recently, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) took a significant step in combating the long-term impacts of COVID-19 by establishing the HHS Secretary’s Advisory Committee on Long COVID. This committee, mandated by the National Research Action Plan on Long COVID, will play a pivotal role in providing external perspectives to guide research and innovation for a comprehensive government response.

The HHS is currently accepting nominations for the advisory committee until January 16, 2024. Individuals with multidisciplinary experience in supporting and caring for those affected by Long COVID are strongly encouraged to apply. This collaborative effort underscores the government’s commitment to fostering innovative solutions and research initiatives to alleviate the long-term impacts of COVID-19.
