House Subcommittee Holds Hearing on Medicaid Access and Integrity

The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Health held a hearing today, April 30, at 10 am EDT. Titled “Legislative Proposals to Increase Medicaid Access and Improve Program Integrity,” the hearing focused on several bills aimed at enhancing access to Medicaid services and ensuring program integrity.

Chaired by Representative Brett Guthrie (R-KY), the hearing underscores the importance of Medicaid, particularly for individuals with disabilities who rely on long-term services and supports. According to the committee’s announcement, the hearing explored proposed legislation that seeks to strengthen access to these crucial services while enhancing program integrity to safeguard Medicaid for future generations.

The hearing was set to feature testimony from Daniel Tsai, Deputy Administrator and Director of the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services at CMS. ANCOR sent a statement in support of the hearing to Chair Brett Guthrie (R-KY) and Ranking Member Anna Eshoo (D-CA).
