ADvancing States and the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Technical Assistance Collective announced an initiative to provide up to 10 selected states with substantive technical assistance for implementing initiatives in support of their HCBS Spending Plans. This technical assistance is the third phase carried out to assist State Medicaid programs to facilitate and expedite state implementation of the ARPA HCBS Funding Initiative.

The types of technical assistance states could receive include developing strategies for sustaining a successful ARPA HCBS Initiative with no long-term source of funding, developing a data and analysis strategy for supply and demand for direct caregivers, and facilitating relationships with stakeholders around a specific initiative such as strengthening the direct care workforce or creating affordable accessible housing options.

States can apply online. This phase of technical assistance will begin on November 15, 2022 and end by January 15, 2024.
